Our clay sculpture specialist, David Liu, will coach this diverse class on technique and give ample time for personal creation. Using the studio’s pottery wheels, participants will make a great variety of bowls, dishes, containers and sculptural art pieces. All participants will be directed through each process of creation, before finally painting, and firing their work to keep; no prior experience is required! Clay is purchased from The Arts Connection Pottery Shop at every class, depending on what each student desires to make that day. All work goes through two kiln firings; the second firing will make the pottery safe for food and drink, as well as use in microwave oven and dishwasher. Take advantage of this incredible opportunity to learn a new skill and work with one of the world’s most natural elements. At the Arts Connection, we believe that fun and arts education is for everyone, not just kids!
