Registration may be made in person, by phone (604) 241-0141, or by fax (604) 241-0400. If registration is available online, this will be offered. Registration and participation in any class or private instruction is accepted and continued at the discretion of The Arts Connection. Acceptance of late registration is dependent on availability and nature of the class.
Deposit of last month's fees, registration fee, and preauthorized payment arrangements by void cheque or credit card are required upon registration. First month's fees are also required up front, unless registering prior to August 15th.
A fee of $25.00 will be levied against all declined payments, regardless of reason. It is the client's responsibility to notify the administrative office of new expiry dates, canceled or compromised cards, etc.
Annual registration fee covers both private and group instruction and is payable once per student per academic year. Registration fee of $50.00 applies to the first family member with an additional $30.00 fee for each additional student from the same family. This fee is a pre-requisite to registration for the 2009-2010 academic year, and expires August 31, 2010. The fee is non-refundable and will be pro-rated after March 1, 2010 to $35.00 and $15.00 respectively. If current families return to register by Sept. 30, 2009, for the 2009-2010 year only, they will receive last year's rate of $35.00 and $20.00 for each additional student from the same family. Registration fees are subject to GST.
Fees for group classes are the year's tuition, based on the number of instructional days, divided into equal monthly payments. Discounts apply for payment in full by Sept. 30, 2009 or for multiple classes.
We reserve the right to make program and instructor changes, to film and photograph classes, students, and student artwork and use these images to publicize our programs.
Accounts over 30 days will be subject to an interest charge of 24% per annum (2% per month).
The Arts Connection will, in an effort to reduce paper waste, regularly update its website and blog, and send emails for parents' and students' information. It is the parent/guardian's responsibility to check both their email and the website http://www.theartsconnection.org regularly, to stay informed of the school's happenings and official notices. If your email address has changed, please notify our office so that we may update your file.
If registration is submitted online or by email, emailed consent or written consent in the online registration to the policies stands in for the client's signature on the forms.
Dance Division Policies
The dance program may have additional charges incurred due to additional practice time or private lessons booked as requested by parents/students, and clients will be invoiced as required as such charges occur.
All dance students participate in our year-end performance at the Gateway Theatre in June. Parents are required to purchase costume(s) as needed and, if they wish to attend the performance, tickets to the presentations.
Students participating in exams and competitions will incur additional entry fees and fees for competition costumes, as well as fees from mock exams (for pianist/space rental, et al).
A dance skirt, custom made by The Arts Connection's seamstress, is a requirement for girls registered in ballet classes for ages 3 through Primary. Upon registration, the student will be measured for their skirt. Pre-payment of the skirt ($25.00 + $1.75 GST) is also required.
Please note that withdrawal after February 1st can seriously disrupt the choreography of your group's dance for the year-end performance. In consideration of fellow classmates and the teacher, please submit withdrawal notice as early as possible.
